Sports betting – How much of it is pure luck?

by on May.11, 2013, under Sports

I’ve been betting on sports since I was eighteen years old, and although it might have been sporadically at first, I still think I know quite a lot about it. It was about two years ago when I started to take things a bit more serious and actually start learning more about it, and it’s now that my results have started to sky rocket and I’ve been making some real good money off it. At first, I would mainly play on the teams in the leagues that i liked, such as the Quiniela Nacional, and I would usually bet on them, even if I thought they’d lose the game. This was okay, of course, as I wasn’t trying to get rich or anything – I simply wanted to make the games a bit more exciting and intense, and I did so by placing a bet on them. If I won, it wouldn’t be a huge win, but it would be enough to treat myself with something special. At the same time, if I lost, it wouldn’t be that much of a hole in my budget.

So, when you bet on sports, you get a lot of opinions. There are a lot of self proclaimed sports bettors out there stating that sports betting has nothing to do with luck, and all to do with skill. On the other side of the court, there are people saying they would never bet on sports as it is pretty much just throwing your money into something you can’t control.

In my opinion, neither of these people are right. Sure, there are things that are out of our control when we bet on sports. There are always going to be factors that we can’t predict when there’s a sporting event. Maybe the star player on one team gets injured on practice the day before the game, making it less likely that his team will win, for example. On the other hand, when you start developing a betting system so that you spread your risk, you are also likely to be able to predict the outcome of games much more accurately. I know from my own experience that money can be made within the sport betting industry. That said, I’m not saying that the profits come easy. In fact, if you want to be seriously profitable in sports betting, you will probably have to put in as much work as you do in any other game. The more you know, the more likely you will be to be successful. The less work you put in, and the less knowledge you have, the more you will have to rely on luck in order to be successful. Luck, though, has a tendency of evening out in the end.

So If you really want to start betting seriously, you have to be prepared to put the work in. Good places to staret include and Pronostico Quiniela where you can find a lot of guides to sports betting as well as tips on where you can play.
